Sequels that didn't Happen (that you were looking forward to)

I really liked Dracula Untold, and with that loaded ending ("let the games begin"), I was excited for a sequel. Doesn't seem like it will ever happen, and I regret that. I thought it could make a really good sequel to move on from the origin story, and perhaps move deeper into a Bram Stoker based story, the period of the finale being in the right time, etc.

What sequels to movies were you looking forward to that never happened?
