Universal needs to merge the Jurassic Park franchise with the Fast & Furious franchise.

The weakest part of the Jurassic Park franchise, after the first movie, is that we never care about the humans. With 3 original films, the new leg of the franchise has to pull in characters from the first film just to give people characters to enjoy on screen (even if it is just briefly). It's likely the format of the movies that contributed to this, but even still, they succeeded the first time around.

One of the easiest ways to have someone care about a character in a story is to just pull in a character people already have feelings about. (Want a quick and easy bad guy, without having to establish all the terrible things they've done to justify the fear? Make it the devil, or nazis). So if we want a cast of humans that we care about to deal with this dinosaur threat, the easiest move is to pull them from another franchise.

Dom & family have been dealing with global threats for some time now, but they all seem to have a similar feel to them. Leaning into to the international heist type vibe, you must ask "which crime boss was in which one?" "Which had the car jumping out of the building, and which was the tank on the bridge?" If the threat is dinosaurs, it will breathe new life into a franchise that really has no where else to go (maybe space?). The upcoming movie seems to be based on a long lost twin...which sounds more interesting?

I picture two Dodge Raptor pickups, with high strength steel netting between them, chasing down a triceratops through downtown Manhattan.

I picture Letty racing a Lamborghini up the back of a T-Rex.

I picture Dom punching a raptor in the face.
