What’s one movie that has changed your life?

For me, it’s Into The Wild directed by Sean Penn. i read the book first, and the ending definitely hit me, but nowhere near as hard as the movie did. because it’s a real story, it gave me such a weird feeling. (spoilers i guess? the description of the movie gives the ending away but yea) Chris McCandless knew he was going to die. he knew it was his fault, and there was nothing he could do about it. the moment when he realized that he wanted to be with his family, he realized that he couldn’t. the ending of the movie, where it shows the process of his death is so disturbing to me. i’m putting myself in that situation, and imagining how panicked and lonely and scared i would be. Emile Hirsch did such a good job at portraying McCandless. we watch the slow deterioration of an arrogant man into nothing. the whole story just really makes me think. what’s the purpose of life? how do we find true happiness? the cinematography is also just beautiful. and Eddie Vedder does such a good job on the soundtrack. so anyway, what’s the movie that changed you/impacted your life the most?
