Fistful of Dollars is better than The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly, in my opinion

Yea, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly has more fleshed out characters, and the incomparable Lee Van Cleef, but the story is mostly about Clint Eastwood getting the crap kicked out of him and sort of just going through what happens, other than a few iconic gunfights. In Fistful of Dollars, it's all about the man with no name using his wits to pit two rival factions against each other with plan after plan. In my mind, GBU doesn't do enough to highlight how friggin smart Blondie is. Both are excellent films, and GBU is definitely grander in scope, but Fistful is just a tight, clever film. This entire opinion hinges on my opinion of Clint Eastwood's character in each movie, which is pretty much where almost all my enjoyment of the films comes from. But from the moment in Fistful where Eastwood first struts center stage and guns down 4 men in a flash, you know he's something special, and he continuously demonstrates it throughout the whole movie.
