Actors you didn't take seriously the first time you saw them?

What actors did you see for the first time in a non starring role, that didn't seem to really add a lot to the film. But once you had seen more of their work become fans and realised they are actually highly acclaimed and respected actors. So just having their name in it probably brought in a lot of viewers.

Examples for me would be Woody Harrelson. I first saw him in Anger Management as a prostitute in drag.

Phillip Seymour Hoffman in Along Came Polly. I saw him and thought they really wanted Jack Black in this movie but had to settle for who ever this guy.
