Commando (1985) - The original Taken

Arnold Schwarzenegger (A retired Special Forces colonel tries to save his daughter, who was abducted by his former subordinate)

A tight 90 minutes of self-aware "macho B.S" as the film puts it. Nothing superfluous other than the violence. Non-stop. Full of one-liners, chain mail sweater vests, unnecessary speedo, Bill Paxton cameo, and a solid performance by Rae Dawn Chong. They don't make them like this one any more. I group this in my mind with Predator, Running Man and Total Recall but peak Arnold. He left them "nothing but bodies".
