All contemporary zombie mainstream movies and shows are Science, virus, and fungus zombies. Why do you think magic, curse, voodoo zombie media is not part of the cultural zeitgeist?

Ever since 28 days later, or maybe even before, all movies and shows about zombies give them a Biological origin. Laboratory accidents, Viruses, Fungi, or some sort of contamination.

• The Walking Dead.
• The Last of Us.
• 28 Days Later franchise.
• Resident Evil.
• Cargo.
• Train to Busan.
• World War Z.

I'm wondering what ever happened to Zombies coming from curses, magic, voodoo, or any other mystical origins. With vampires, we (as a society) are still doing a more even split between vampiric virus and mystical curse.

(If you think I'm living under a rock and can recommend a cool magic zombie movie please do).
