What the hell is Christopher Walken doing at the end of Blast From the Past (1999)
Recently watched this movie and the ending left me scratching my head. For those who haven't seen it spoilers obviously.
There was a lot wrong with the end of the movie imo but there's one part that just makes no sense to me. After Adam (Brendan Fraser) tells his Dad (Christopher Walken) that no bombs were ever dropped, his Dad starts monologuing about the commies. "Is that what they said?? Those clever bastards!". He then tells Adam to never tell his mom the truth, and then starts doing a weird walk through the backyard.
Does anyone have any clue what he's doing here? Does he not believe Adam? Why can't Adam tell his Mom? Definitely a weird ending to an already weird movie.
