What movie was made better by its sequel?

After watching Across the Spider-verse, ai went back and watched Into the Spider-verse. There are so many little nods in the original that become more impactful in light of the sequel. There is also a great depth of feels for some of the characters (or at least one in particular) making it more engaging.

Wondering what other movies really added to the mythos, or put greater depth into the characters to the point of making the original better.

Edit: for clarification, I am looking for movies that made the original better. Movies that made you want to watch the first one again. T2, Aliens, Wrath of Kahn are such great sequels. But Wrath of Kahn does not make me want to sit through that snooze fest that is Star Trek the Motion Picture again.
