What's the best example of awkwardly shoehorning in a product placement in a movie? I can think of two almost identical instances in both Barbie and Moonfall: during a pivotal action scene, they pause a second to demonstrate a driving feature on a new car to allow for an easier getaway.
It caused an audible groan from a few in the audience and took me right out of the movie, and Moonfall contains more than a handfull of groan-worthy bits. The Chevy Blazer in Barbie was a painfully obvious product placement in almost every way. It almost outshines the actors in the way the film suddenly transitions into a car commercial whenever it is onscreen.
What are some similar examples of obvious product placements that are almost jarring?
