I just rewatched Face/Off (1997), and I had totally forgot how stupidly brilliant this movie is.

I rewatched it for the first time since I was a teenager and was completely suprised of how brilliant it is. Obviously, the overall story and idea of the movie is stupid(switching faces and shit), but it's so goddamn fun to watch. Mainly because of Travolta and Cage. They show a certain chemistry between the protagonist and antagonist that feel very Batman/Joker-like and does it better than most other action movies I can think of. And of course, being a John Woo movie, the action scenes are awesome. The music is great too.

It's stupid and cheesy as hell, but man did I have fun watching it. And seeing Nic Cage going crazy again was hilarious.

Anyone else feel the same way?
