A while ago someone mentioned how amazing StarShip Troopers looks today. I watched it again for the first time in about 10 years and holy dang they were right

It saddens me how some CGI today looks worse than a movie made in 1997. I mean the great use of practical effects for the closeups, the well made CGI for the full body shots...

The scene that holds up the best is the Swarm on Planet P. That panning shot over the wall to show the massive invasion of thousands of Arachnids...man WWZ wishes their cartoon horde looked as intimidating.

What a fun damn movie!
