The Dark Tower is one of the worst adaptations ever made

You know, anything in this universe should really be rated R: but if they went for a hard PG-13 I’d be unhappy, but I would at least understand it.

But they literally focused the movie on Jake, and made Roland a side character. We literally opened The Dark Tower movie with Jake being bullied in school and having parental issues. They literally made the kid the main character. What in the ever loving fuck.

It honestly just blows my mind that they thought that was a good idea. Its the kind of decision that makes you think they fucking hated the material and just wanted to milk it as much as possible. I can’t comprehend how they thought that was a good idea, I just can’t.

Akiva Goldsmith needs to be banned from Hollywood already. Not cancelled, a formal ban handed out by Hollywood. Ron Howard, at least he admitted the movie was trash, whatever version of the film he would’ve made in the early 2010’s directing it, probably would’ve been better than what we got.
