Which films have the dumbest reasons that cause the main conflict?

The age-old question of "Well, if they simply didn't do this completely avoidable thing, the film would be 2 seconds long"

The one that comes to mind for me is Jurassic World. I know all the Jurassic Park sequels could have been avoided by simply "not going to the island", but Jurassic World always seemed extra dumb because of how the Indominus Rex escaped. They see that it is missing from the cage, so Claire decides to drive a half mile away and then call the control center to ask them to use the tracker to find its location. She gives Owen and the guards enough time to casually walk into the cage before they realize it is still in the cage and decide to open the doors to escape. If she simply called the control center right away, they could have seen it was still in there.

I know it HAD to escape, but how it was was just idiotic.
