One thing I noticed about Chris Nolan films

Nolan seems to be very good at establishing pivotal locations early on in his films where he can then use them at the end for emotional payoff.

• The lake in Oppenheimer where he speaks with Einstein
• The bedroom in Interstellar with the bookshelf
• The cafe in The Dark Knight Rises where Alfred spots Bruce
• The living room in Inception where Cobb finally sees his kids

I can't remember if he did this in his other films but it's very effective in these.
